Located in Southeast Asia, this predominantly Buddhist country is populated by about 14.8 million people, After years of internal conflict and war, this country remains one of the poorest and least developed countries in Asia. Most families are directly affected by this long-term conflict and struggle to make a basic living. Nearly half of all the children are malnourished, and one in eight dies before their fifth birthday, largely due to preventable causes. Cambodian artisans are known for their silk and cotton weaving, silver work and basketry. The organizations we support in Cambodia seek to provide sustainable jobs, support families in remaining a unit and encourage emotional and spiritual health.
