Mexico Pine Needle Baskets

Description

This basket was handcrafted by the Tarahumara Indians of the Copper Canyon, Mexico. This indigenous people group, targeted for annihilation, had hidden in the Canyon for generations. But malnutrition, disease, and a high infant mortality rate have brought some of the people out of the canyon in search of help. This purchase helps provide food, medicine, education, and the hope of a new life for the Tarahumara Indians.
